There aren’t enough hours in the day to run your small business and you need help. You want to expand and you know the opportunity is there, but where do you start? You don’t have the resources or time to do anything more and you’re overwhelmed just keeping your business operating from day to day.
EMBERS Grow A Business program can help!
The Vancity sponsored EMBERS Grow A Business program is for entrepreneurs who want to take their small business to the next level. If your business:
1) – Has been in operation for more than one year
2) – Is generating revenue
3) – Has been your main source of income
4) – Has the potential to create employment
Then the Grow A Business Program is for you.
This program helps to break down the barriers to business growth by providing 1-on-1 small business help delivered by experienced business coaches and volunteers with hands-on expertise.
We can also help you to access FREE specialized support services such as website design, communications and accounting, through our volunteer networks.
How does the program work?
Working 1-on-1 with an EMBERS Business Coach to provide you with small business planning and support, we put you and your business through a flexible 4-6 month process that prioritizes and focuses your valuable and limited resources, and helps you get tasks done. Using simple business tools and techniques, we help you to break down the specific actions required to meet your growth goals, into a simple and manageable Growth Plan that we work together to implement.
Grow A Business clients will receive 24 hours of experienced 1-on-1 small business planning and assistance through an experienced Business Coach. They will also receive volunteer help with specific tasks (e.g. websites, marketing materials, market research) and get access to small business loan financing through Vancity.
How much does the program cost?
The cost for our four to six month Grow A Business program is $250, however, those on low income are eligible for a scholarship which reduces fees on a sliding scale based on business income levels.
