Build a Business


EMBERS’ Build a Business entrepreneurial course is an affordable training program that assists individuals to get from business idea to business launch or to improve their existing business. This part-time course consists of five modules:

1. An Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Mind

2. Market Research

3. Marketing

4. Operations

5. Financial Management

In addition to course materials and classroom time, each participant may apply to receive one-on-one business coaching.

Build a Business is offered three times each year. Upcoming course dates are:

  • May 3, 2010
  • September 13, 2010
  • January 2011

To learn more about the Build A Business program, attend one of our information sessions. All classes and information sessions are held at our office, which is located in Chinatown. Our next information session(s) will be held on the following date(s):

  • Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 3 - 5pm
  • Wednesday, August 11, 2010, 3 - 5pm
  • Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 3 - 5pm
